The club was formed in 1996 when following an explosion of interest in the sport, Jacky and Marvin Rue booked the Leisure Centre for their two sons and their friends to play hockey in a safer environment. The club grew and committee was elected to run the club. The first coaches were a former player, Adrian Mahoney, who had played for North London Spartans and Nigel Harris, an ice hockey fan whose nephew was playing. After a shaky start when heavy defeats were routine, the teams started to improve and the clubs trophy cabinet started to fill up. In 1998 the clubs pee wee side caused a major upset winning the British Team Championship and only a late cancellation stopped the team going to Denmark to the compete in the European Championships.
Success has continued with many Championships and with local players also representing Wales.
The club initially affilliated to the British In Line Skater Hockey Association but three years ago switched to The British In Line Puck Hockey Association.
